TD Synnex StreamOne Setup

TD Synnex StreamOne (StreamOne Stellr) is a cloud distribution platform used by MSPs to procure Microsoft, Google, and other cloud subscriptions. Once connected, Junto can look up a client's subscriptions and license counts, search the product catalog, audit subscription changes, and — with approval — adjust seat quantities or suspend, reactivate, and cancel subscriptions.

Prerequisites

  • A TD SYNNEX reseller account with StreamOne API access
  • API credentials (Client ID and Client Secret) from the TD SYNNEX Developer Portal
  • Companies imported from your PSA (required for company mapping)

US region

The integration currently supports the US StreamOne region.

Step 1: Generate API Credentials

  1. Log in to the TD SYNNEX PartnerFirst portal.
  2. Open the Integrate menu and click Developer Portal (opens in a new tab).
  3. Create an API application to obtain your Client ID and Client Secret. Credentials are environment-specific — production and sandbox use separate secrets.

Step 2: Configure in Junto

  1. In Junto, go to Settings > Integrations > TD Synnex StreamOne.
  2. Click Add Configuration and fill in:
    • Client ID -- Your StreamOne client ID.
    • Client Secret -- Your StreamOne client secret. This is encrypted on save.
    • Environment -- Production or Sandbox, matching where the credentials were issued.
  3. Click Create, then use Test Connection to verify — Junto confirms the connection and reports how many customers it can see.

One configuration is supported per organization. You can edit the configuration later (leave the secret blank to keep the existing one) or toggle Active to pause the integration without deleting it.

Step 3: Map Companies

  1. On the configuration card, click Company Mappings.
  2. The mapping dialog lists your Junto companies alongside StreamOne customers, with a Mapped/Unmapped status for each.
  3. Click Run Auto-Map to match companies by name — exact matches are applied automatically, and close matches are suggested for you to confirm.
  4. Map any remaining companies manually and save.

Company mapping is required: the agent can only act on a client's subscriptions once that company is mapped to its StreamOne customer.

Approval Required

All subscription changes are routed to your designated internal approvers before execution. Read-only tools do not require approval.

Subscription Changes and Billing

Subscription changes have direct billing implications:

  • Seat increases are allowed at any time during the term.
  • Seat decreases on Microsoft NCE subscriptions are only allowed within the cancellation/reduction window at the start of a term or renewal. Outside that window, the vendor rejects the change and the agent reports the rejection.
  • Cancellation is generally irreversible — the subscription and its seats are terminated. The agent only cancels on an explicit, confirmed request.
  • Changes are processed asynchronously by StreamOne. The agent confirms the outcome by re-checking the subscription after submitting a change.

Procurement vs. assignment

StreamOne manages license procurement — how many seats you're buying. Assigning a license to a specific user is done through the Microsoft 365 integration. If a client's licenses are procured through Pax8 instead, use the Pax8 integration.

Troubleshooting

  • Test Connection fails -- Verify the Client ID and Secret, and check that the Environment setting matches where the credentials were issued (production credentials won't work against sandbox, and vice versa).
  • No companies in the mapping dialog -- Import companies from your PSA first.
  • "Company isn't mapped" errors -- Open Company Mappings and map the company to its StreamOne customer.
  • Seat decrease rejected -- Microsoft NCE subscriptions restrict decreases outside the reduction window. Check the subscription's term and renewal dates.
