General Assistant

The General Assistant is an AI chat experience that is not tied to a specific ticket. Use it to ask questions, investigate issues, generate reports, and work across clients -- all powered by your connected integrations.

How It Works

  1. Open the General Assistant from the Junto sidebar.
  2. Type a question or click a suggested prompt.
  3. The assistant uses your connected integrations to find answers -- looking up devices, checking security status, pulling ticket data, searching documentation, and more.
  4. Each conversation is saved as a session you can return to later.

Example Questions

Here are some examples of what you can ask, depending on which integrations you have connected.

Security & Identity (Microsoft 365, Sophos)

  • "Does everyone at Acme Corp have MFA enabled?"
  • "Show me risky sign-ins for Contoso in the last week"
  • "Are there any active security alerts for Acme Corp in Sophos?"
  • "Which users at Contoso have admin roles but haven't signed in recently?"
  • "What's the Secure Score for Acme Corp's Microsoft 365 tenant?"

Devices & Monitoring (NinjaOne, ConnectWise RMM, Sophos)

  • "Compare the devices in Sophos and NinjaOne for Acme Corp -- are any missing from one platform?"
  • "Which devices at Contoso are offline right now?"
  • "How many servers at Acme Corp have missing OS patches?"
  • "Are any devices at Contoso running less than 10% free disk space?"
  • "What antivirus product is installed on John Smith's laptop?"
  • "How many tickets did Acme Corp open this month compared to last month?"
  • "What are the most common issues for Contoso this quarter?"

Reports & Exports

The assistant can generate downloadable reports when you need to share findings or keep records. Ask for a report and the assistant will create a file you can download directly from the chat.

Sessions

Each conversation is its own session:

  • Sessions are listed in the sidebar, grouped by date.
  • Click any session to pick up where you left off.
  • Search sessions by name to find past conversations.
  • Delete sessions you no longer need.

New sessions are automatically named based on your first message.

Available in Slack & Teams

The General Assistant also powers conversations in Slack and Teams. When your team messages the Junto bot, they get the same experience in their messaging app.
