Reviews & Approvals
Junto includes a review workflow for runbooks to ensure quality before publication.
Why Reviews Matter
Runbooks directly influence how the AI agent handles tickets. The review process provides a checkpoint where a second team member can verify content and approve it for use.
Review Types
- New Draft -- A brand-new runbook that has never been published.
- Update -- A revision to an existing published runbook.
- Fork -- A new runbook created by forking an existing one.
Submitting for Review
After saving a runbook in Draft status, submit it for review. The review captures the current version of the content, so further edits do not affect the version under review.
The Review Dashboard
Reviewers access pending submissions from Runbooks > Reviews. The dashboard has four tabs:
- Pending -- Reviews awaiting a decision (badge shows count).
- Approved -- Reviews that have been approved.
- Changes Requested -- Reviews sent back for revisions.
- Rejected -- Reviews that were declined.
Filter by review type to focus on New Runbooks, Updates, or Forks.
Making a Decision
Each pending review shows the runbook title, version number, submitter, and date. Reviewers choose from:
- Approve -- Accept the runbook. Comments are optional.
- Request Changes -- Send back to the author. Comments are required.
- Reject -- Decline the runbook. Comments are required.
The author of a runbook cannot review their own submission.
Publishing After Approval
Approval does not automatically publish a runbook. After approval, the author navigates to the runbook and clicks Publish to change the status from Draft to Published. This ensures the author has a final review before the runbook goes live.
Published runbooks are immediately available to the AI agent.
Version History
Every save creates a new version. The version history page shows:
- Version number -- Incrementing identifiers (e.g., v1.0, v1.1).
- Change summary -- Description of what changed.
- Timestamp and author -- When the version was created and by whom.
Comparing Versions
Select two versions to compare them side by side. The diff view highlights additions, removals, and modifications.
Rolling Back
Roll back to any previous version. Rolling back creates a new version with the historical content -- the current version is preserved in history.
